Sentences on Food
This week, the children learned how to ask questions and answer regarding to food.
Sample of question: Do you like to eat noodles? Answer: Yes, I do. / No, I do not.
Besides this, the children also get to express their like and dislike towards food. I also designed some games for the children to play with food.
Our thematic class is coming to an end by next Monday. The children will concentrate on their concert performance practice in November and December.

I Love Food

I Love Food
This week we learned about food. The children learned to talk about simple food that they know such as bread, rice, noodles. Besides that, they also learned to talk about drinks that they know such as milk, coffee or tea.
I also read them some book on food and also played them a video on food chant.

My Pets

My Pets
This is we were still concentrating in doing the topic of "My Pets". The children had learned some simple sentences related to this pet topic such as:
I have a pet dog.
It can jump.
The children learned to make simple sentences by using those sentences taught earlier. Then, I prepared a worksheet for them to do. In this worksheet, the children needed to choose a pet animal and they have to come out with their own sentences. I guided them in writing those sentences on the board for them to copy.
Note: I joined a school field trip to Kuala Lumpur Bird Park on 11th October 2016 (Tuesday), therefore, there's no class on that day. Besides that, class was being combined with the six years old children on Wednesday and Friday due to absentees of teachers. Therefore, I make use of that time to discuss about the year end graduation ceremony with the children.

My Pets

This week, the children were studying about pets. From this small topic, the children understand that animals that kept at home were called pets and they can't keep wild animals at home.
I have prepared some worksheet for this topic as well. The children took their time to complete it.
Note: The children visited Kidzania Kuala Lumpur on 5th October 2016 (Wednesday). Therefore, there were no class on that Wednesday.

Get to Learn about My Toys
This week, the children learned to talk about toys that they played such as robot, toy car, kite, ball, doll etc. They learned to make simple sentences such as:
#1: This is my toy car.
#2: I like to play with my toy car.
#3: She /He likes to play with her/his ball.
Then, I also get the children to pick one of his favourite toys from the chart and draw it onto a piece of paper. Then, they will also write a simple sentence and fill in the name of the toy accordingly.

The children also attended half an hour of phonics class and Wushu class on Tuesday as usual.
