Theme: Underwater

Game:
Playing with the “Seal”
Today,
we shall try to play a game about seal. Before we start, this was our
discussion:
Teacher:
Children you mentioned that you did see a seal dance.
Kwan
Ming: Yes, Zoo Negara. (National Zoo)
Teacher:
What is the seal or sea lion doing?
Children:
Swimming.
Teacher:
What else did the seal or sea lion do? (There’s a lot of other answer such as
swimming, eating fish etc. I drew a cone on the white board to see if any of
them could remember.)
Kern
Ee: Oh, throw a circle to the seal.
Teacher:
Yes, you are right.
We
needed the following things for the games today:
-
some
coloured rings (that can fit into the cone)
-
2 coloured
cones (to be pretended as the seal or sea lion)
We
also set some rules for the games. This is a trial game.
-
No crossing
the line indicated
-
Each
children can try to throw 5 times
-
Once the
children could get 3 rings into the cones, they will get one stamp.
We are ready! |
Chloe: I shall throw now! |
We
started the game for about 2 rounds but the children found it difficult to get
3 rings for a stamp. Therefore, after the game, we had to revise the rules
again. This time round, the children decided to reduce to 1 ring for 1stamp.
All of them also agreed that they could claim a sweet for 3 rings. We shall use
this rule for the game the next day.
