Melting the Chocolate

Melting the Chocolate

We had some discussion last week about the next activity to work on and the children chose to work with chocolate. Therefore, today, we carried out such activity.

First, we used the microwave to melt some chocolate. Though there were some mistake made during the melting session and the children started to get nervous about it, however, with some help we managed to get the chocolate melted successfully.

Then, we moved back to the classroom. Each child was given a small piece of foil paper and an ice-cream stick. The children needed to spread some melted chocolate on the foil paper and top up some more after putting the ice-cream stick in the middle of the chocolate.

I also brought in some colourful decorative for the children to decorate their chocolate popsicle before they gave me to freeze it.

I only managed to take these 2 pictures during the activity today as I was too busy guiding the children to spread the chocolate onto the foil paper.
