More about the Making of Yogurt

Today, I showed the children some pictures from a blog about homemade yogurt by using a rice cooker.

Basically, the ingredients that we needed were only full cream milk and yogurt. As our yogurt is about 130 cc. Therefore, I only needed about 640 cc of milk. Once we have mixed in the yogurt and milk, we could use a chopstick just to mix it well. It will be left in the rice cooker under the "keep warm" function for at least 6 hours. We needed to make sure that the container is glass and it has been clean thoroughly.

As I was away in the morning, we don't have 6 hours today to do the homemade yogurt. I only get to explain the methods and steps by referring to the website. We will be doing it around 9 am tomorrow in order to get the yogurt done by 3 pm. Children were reminded to come early to see the process of it.

Today, Leow Xun brought some mango and grapes, Sueanne brought an orange and Yee Ern brought some bananas. I shall keep all those fruits in the refrigerator for tomorrow's activity.

The children continued with the colouring worksheet of Ratatouille for another 20 minutes.
