Hyena

Today, we just  read through some other animals that appeared in Africa. Therefore, we picked hyena to learn today.

There were a few facts that we had learned about hyena:
- there are four different types of hyena - aardwolf, spotted, striped and brown hyena
- the spotted hyena is the best-known and most abundant species
- brown and striped hyena are the true scavengers
- spotted hyena is an aggressive hunter
- aardwolf feeds on insects
- spotted hyena lives in large clans up to a hundred individuals
- a dominant female leads the clan
- lions are the biggest competitors of hyena, lion often enter hyena territory to kill their cubs
