Tiger

Today, we moved on to another animal - tiger. Tiger is a lone ranger according to the encyclopedia. The children were still quite sure that tiger lives in Africa. I spent some time telling them that lion, cheetah or even leopard doesn't know who tiger is. Tiger lives in Asia.

Tigers are orange with black stripes. Their little ones are called cubs. From the encyclopedia, the children learned that tiger will have their territory no matter male or female. They don't stay in groups. It's quite different with those animals that we had learned previously. Then, I spent some time to explain territory to the children again. Tiger cubs will stay with their mother until 18 months before leaving to stay on their own.

Due to insufficient time for today, we shall continue with the tiger facts tomorrow.
