Ceratopsians

Today, we went through some facts and information about Ceratopsians.

Facts about ceratopsians:
-          They had horns growing from their head
-          They were found only in North America and in eastern Asia.
-          They lived in a small groups
-          The adult would form a ring to protect the young
-          Types of ceratopsians: Torosaurus, Styracosaurus, Centrosaurus

I get the children to observe the three types of Ceratopsians that the book showed here as the features on each of them looks very unique and easily recognized.

In a short time, the children could actually tell me the differences among the three of them as the horns looked very different.

Fun with Play Dough
I wish to see how much impression the children have with dinosaur. Therefore, I brought in some play dough for them to play with it. They were encouraged to knead shapes of any dinosaur that they had studied. However, it still takes them quite a while to realize how to do it. At least the children tried their best and they enjoyed it very much.

Shang Ee said she wanted to make a Triceratops.

Kwan Ming made a Stegosaurus.

Kern Ee is trying to make a Brachiosaurus.

Teng Hong said he wanted to make a nest of dinosaur eggs.

Phey Zheng, is this a Brachiosaurus?

Xiang Qin trying her best to make a Triceratops.

Yeah! Which dinosaur did Derek do?

Jing Heng managed to make a Triceratops.
