Nurse

Today, we moved on to another occupation that related to doctor as well - nurse.

We had some brainstorming session on the job of a nurse.

Teacher: What does a nurse do?
Chloe: Give doctor the syringe. (For injection)
Jing Heng: Give the medicine to the patient. (at first he said doctor but after some hints, he learned to say "patient")
Devon: Help the doctor to take things. (I believe it would be such as syringe etc)

Teacher: Why do we need nurse?
Aiden: Doctor will be very sleepy. (Why?)

However, Aiden couldn't give us an answer. Therefore, I make an example of comparing the years of study to become a doctor and nurse. To become a doctor, one has to study much longer compared to nurse. As a result, the number of doctor will be much lesser to nurse. Nurses need to help out the doctor in a lot of ways.

At the same time, I share some simple reading with the children that related to nurse. Hopefully we could carry out the role play of doctor and nurses soon this week.
