Video Sharing - Hippopotamus

We revised on the information and facts about hippopotamus that we read through yesterday. Hopefully, the children could find some other facts or information from the video.

Video Sharing - Hippos: Animals for children

From the video, the children learned that:
- Hippos are found in Africa
- Hippos are also called river horse
- Hippos are the 3rd large animals after elephant and rhinoceros
- Hippos likes to eat plants and graze on grass
- A male hippo is called bull, a female hippo is called cow and a young hippo is called calf
(suddenly, the children realized that "calf" is also the same as how a young rhino was called)

On the other hand, I found another alternative for the kids to wear the cheetah mask as most of their head and faces are pretty small. I get some of the children to help out by putting the elastic band instead of the rubber band that they brought earlier.

After that, the children wore the cheetah mask and act like a cheetah around the class:

Rarrr.....would you be able to recognise them?

Note: 17th & 18th July 2015 are Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The school will be closed. Class will commence on 20th July 2015. There will be no blog update for 17th July 2015 (Friday).
