Happy, happy Transportation – Introduction to aircraft

Book Sharing – Mega Structures
Today, I shared a book on Mega Structure about aircraft. In the book, it introduced about aviation. Common examples of aircraft are airships, autogyros, gas ballons, helicopters and gliders. It also mentioned that aircraft is divided into 2 board categories, based on their weight: heavier-than-air and lighter-than-air. Lighter-than-air includes hot-air balloons and gas balloons, blimps etc. Heavier-than-air includes autogyros, helicopters and aeroplane.

Song – We Are Flying

The lyrics of the song are as followed:

We are flying, we are flying
Up so high, up so high.
See the fluffy white clouds,
See the sparkly sunshine
In the sky, in the sky.
We are flying, we are flying
Round and round, round and round.
See the tiny houses,
See the tiny people
On the ground, on the ground.

(Follow the tune of “Are you Sleeping?”)

Art & Craft: Drawing of Aeroplane
After reading the lyrics and singing the song, I make used of the lyrics to guide the children to draw an aeroplane flying in the sky. I prepared a blue paper for each child. We shall continued with the decoration of the background of the sky and the collage on the aeroplane tomorrow.
