Mulberry Tea Leaves Project (Part I)

Before we begin with the project, the children needed to know the steps and methods of doing it. Therefore, I guided the children and listed down the steps so that they could have some idea about doing it.

These would be the steps of the making of mulberry tea:

Step 1: Pick the leaves (we only need the leaves)
Step 2: Wash the leaves (just to clean the sand or dust on the leaves)
Step 3: Cut the leaves (into small stripes, as thin as possible)
Step 4: Steam the leaves (this process is used for sterilize)
Step 5: Roll the leaves (roll it back and front to make it into long stripes shape)
Step 6: Fry the leaves (without any oil, just to make it as dry as possible)

The children also notice that the word "leaves" is being repeated and with different action. Hopefully, with this introduction, the children could remember the steps easier on the next day.

We have about 30 minutes left, I get the 6 years old children to share their personal details with the class. However, only Lucas, Yong Jun, Sueanne, Suzanne and Zi Yue were sharing their details today. Here were some pictures taken:
